Why Should You Learn Another Language?

Where there is communication, there is understanding!

11th August, 2020 12:00 am

At the end of the summer 2017 I had just got back from holiday and read an article in British Airways Business life magazine that 82% of us didn’t know a single word in the language of the country we had just visited! Isn’t that appalling? So I decided to do something about it and set up my tuition business so others could at least know a few words and embark on the fascinating journey of language, culture and let’s face it  – food and wine.

For me the most important thing is MKP Solutions, my company strap-line

Where there is communication, there is understanding

There are many other positives to learning another language – join us to find out what they are!

Why consistency is key when it comes to your business visual presence

22nd July, 2020 8:00 pm

Do you want your business to stand out from the rest? Of course, we all do. The best way to set yourself in front of your competition is your business brand and how you present yourself online.

A photo is worth a thousand words when marketing your business, did you know that presenting a brand consistently across all platforms can increase revenue by up to 23%?

When people look at your company, they want to see the people they will be doing business with, the products you sell and you AND your product together being used.

Photographs of yourself on social media have a far greater reach than simply a generic stock image. Let us help move your business forward with vibrant, fresh and fun lifestyle branding photography and giving you the tools to do it yourself.

How good is your elevator pitch?

23rd June, 2020 8:00 am

This week’s speaker is Jacqueline Harris who will be facilitating a session on Elevator Pitches.

Being able to speak succinctly about your business and how you can help your customers is an important part of networking. Having an effective elevator pitch is a great way of getting your message across.

Whether the networking opportunity is a formal networking meeting, working with other businesses on collaborations or even when you’ve just bumped into a potential client in the queue for the supermarket, knowing just what to say needs some thinking about.

This session will be useful whether you just want to refine your elevator pitch, think it needs a revamp or if you’re starting from scratch and have a blank canvas to work with.

We look forward to welcoming you online.

Woodley Local Community Business Networking

Meet – Connect – Collaborate

9th June, 2020 8:00 am

This week our guest speaker Gill Wright will be taking the floor for her mindset talk & we’ll then be using our virtual breakout rooms for some open networking. The title of Gill’s talk is “Why is your mindset your greatest asset?” She will be discussing what mindset actually is and how you can turn your mind into a tool to get what you do want in life rather than trusting it to chance. At the end of the talk you will come away with the steps to take and hint and tips on how to begin to create a positive mindset.

I think we’d all agree a positive mindset is something we could all do with, especially at the moment! Looking forward to seeing you all online.
