Phil Gowler form Woodley NLP will have a look at what stress is, what it can do to us (physically and mentally) and how to deal with that.

Our usual sources of stress have been added to in a major way by Covid, so stress busting is even more important now.

However, we will all have ways of managing stress, and it will be great to share those with each other because it could well be that we will pick up ideas that we can try, and so help us manage stress in a positive way. It may even be that we can share some activities together-socially distanced of course!

This meeting Paul Faulkner will be our speaker talking about “Creating a Professional Small Business Website”.

Paul will be covering how to go from not having a website, to having a professional-looking presence on the web that’s actually useful and isn’t a hassle to maintain. How to avoid some common mistakes and learn how to work with your web designer to get your website to where you want it… without breaking the bank.

Following on from Paul’s talk there will be plenty of time for networking in our virtual breakout rooms.

This meeting Tamsin Reynes will be our speaker talking to “Really?! – Are you trying to frustrate me?”.

During Tamsin’s interactive presentation she’ll help us to look at differences in personality type in a more positive way, rather than just as a challenge.

Following on from Tamsin’s talk they’ll be plenty of time for networking in our virtual breakout rooms. And as we randomly assign participants to the virtual rooms, this should be a good opportunity for us to try out some of what Tamsin’s taught us!

Your body is an amazing thing. This talk looks at a tiny part of it: the gut and how the gut gets help from microbes and viruses. We’ll look at how the microbes are involved in immunity and how modern life is disturbing the balance so that staying healthy requires constant vigilance.

The consequences of poorly balanced gut bacteria are numerous and cover most of what people call modern ailments, such as Alzheimer’s, IBS, autism, arthritis, Crohn’s disease, cancer and many more.

At the end of the summer 2017 I had just got back from holiday and read an article in British Airways Business life magazine that 82% of us didn’t know a single word in the language of the country we had just visited! Isn’t that appalling? So I decided to do something about it and set up my tuition business so others could at least know a few words and embark on the fascinating journey of language, culture and let’s face it  – food and wine.

This week’s speaker is Jacqueline Harris who will be facilitating a session on Elevator Pitches.

Being able to speak succinctly about your business and how you can help your customers is an important part of networking. Having an effective elevator pitch is a great way of getting your message across.

Whether the networking opportunity is a formal networking meeting, working with other businesses on collaborations or even when you’ve just bumped into a potential client in the queue for the supermarket, knowing just what to say needs some thinking about.

This session will be useful whether you just want to refine your elevator pitch, think it needs a revamp or if you’re starting from scratch and have a blank canvas to work with.

This week our guest speaker Gill Wright will be taking the floor for her mindset talk & we’ll then be using our virtual breakout rooms for some open networking. The title of Gill’s talk is “Why is your mindset your greatest asset?” She will be discussing what mindset actually is and how you can turn your mind into a tool to get what you do want in life rather than trusting it to chance. At the end of the talk you will come away with the steps to take and hint and tips on how to begin to create a positive mindset.
